thinking about the options for a temporary knockout mechanic in a fallout game. this option being for tranquilizer guns/unarmed/certain melee weapons making stealth builds more appealing + increasing replayability if you want to do like a bloody mess cannibal playthrough first. npc dialogue changing slightly depending on their personality as you gain a reputation for being merciful (and discounts/increased prices bc they think you're a pushover at certain vendors). intelligent group of supermutants who are hostile unless you take one down non lethally, unlocking questlines and even companions you wouldn't otherwise get (and making you gain notoriety with groups like the enclave). you choose to do this to a deathclaw and find the nearby settlement slaughtered later in the game, locking certain questlines. option to treat a ghoul on the turn with medication like what they introduced in the show canon. raiders that see you as weak and an easy target, which makes more of them come after you as you travel the wasteland. silly quests where you get kidnapped and have to win a WWE style wrestling match complete with steel chair. how the option of a pacifist run works thematically in a story about war. many thoughts
